Full Time In-Home Physical Therapist for Washington DC

DMV Home Therapy is looking to hire a Full Time Physical Therapist for in home visits in the Washington DC region. Candidate should be an experienced Physical Therapist with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to build relationships with referring Doctors, Nurses and Case Managers. PT will have the unique opportunity to grow this position along with the greater DMV area via Home Visits, with the guidance support of our office manager and therapist consultants. The Physical Therapist is responsible for leading through DMV's mission, vision, and values to develop a high performing relationship with the patients, family members and referral sources. We are providers of geriatric Physical and Occupational Therapy services in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. We are unique in that all therapy services are provided in the home or Senior Living Facilities of every client. Our philosophy is that our client’s needs are best met in the comfort of their home. By providing the best quality, home based therapy, we customize every treatment plan to meet each client’s specific needs. DMV’s ideal candidate would have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, an experienced clinical background, a desire to lead a teamwork environment, aspirations to grow the clinic by creating connections with referral sources, patients and the community. Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program

Proof of current state licensure in Washington DC

Must possess and maintain current Liability Insurance

At least 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient or home setting

Dedication to patient exceptional outcome and quality of care

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude

Self-motivated with the willingness to exceed expectations

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and bedside manner

Outstanding time-management and ability to multitask

Must have current Driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work sites

Responsibilities

Maintain clinical logs and checklists for compliance

Oversee patient schedules

Cultivate relationships with the community, patients, and referral sources

Provide the best treatment for patients in the Assisted Living Facility or in the home.

Provide timely communication with referral sources

Grow the clinic through marketing efforts in collaboration with DMV's marketing departments

Develop customized plans of care based the most up-to-date evidence-based practices and treatments

Complete daily patient care, progress and discharge notes in a timely manner
