These products and services will allow Ford’s retail and commercial customers to customize their vehicle like never before, with OTA (over the air)-driven experiences that grow better over time. Ford is developing leadership at the forefront of connected, digital platforms that will revolutionize every aspect of how vehicles function, the way people interact with them, and the value those vehicles provide.Context:

Ford is #1 in commercial vehicles in North America and the #1 brand Europe, but our services business is nascent – huge opportunity to build a new business/market leader.

Ford has embedded high-quality modems into all commercial vehicles since 2020 – creating a base of connected vehicles in the market and allowing Ford to build differentiated Fleet-related software/hardware technology products.

Ford is moving aggressively to capitalize on the above opportunity, recently launching Telematics Insights & Control, Data Services, Fleet Management, Charging, and Upfitter Interface products/businesses.

Ford is seeking a dynamic and experience leader to build / own the Product Marketing function for these products/businesses.

What you'll do

Own the coordination of the go-to-market process for upcoming product features Ford Pro’s Technology products:

Embed deeply with the product management team to understand the roadmap (what is coming, when, and what it will do)

Take this roadmap and communicate it to all relevant sales, marketing, and account management teams / individuals, linking up with processes on these teams to ensure training materials are updated, etc.

Own and drive the process to decide which features / products will receive GTM investment, define what investment should be made (e.g. email campaigns, advertising budget, comms/PR, website changes, etc.), and program manage the delivery of these GTM investments

Collect and funnel prospective customer input and learnings (e.g. from the sales team, from loss reports, from direct customer engagement, etc.) and from active customer input and learnings (e.g. from account management team, from churn reports, etc.) back to the product management and engineering teams for roadmap consideration

Working in concert with the product management team, conduct primary customer research, including but not limited to conducting focus groups, visiting customers, attending industry events, conducting, and analyzing surveys, etc.

Build a high-performing team to execute on the above

You'll have

Bachelor's degree in a related field os study

7+ years Product Marketing experience for software or software/hardware products

A strong vision for what Product Marketing should be in a B2B SaaS context, and the experience and ability to build the tools, processes, and team needed to deliver on this vision.

People management experience, including the management of Product Marketers

Demonstrated effectiveness in large, complex, highly matrixed organizations. 

Passion for serving customers. 

Even better, you may have

Master's degree in related field of study

Experience in B2B SaaS products, ideally in the role of Product Marketing Manager

Exposure to the telematics industry, the fleet management industry, the charging industry
