Responsibilities/Duties:

Assists attorneys with all phases of criminal litigation, including pretrial discovery, motions, hearings, trials, and appeals.

Reviews and analyzes documents, transcripts, files, and other materials to locate information and evidence relevant to investigative actions or responsiveness to grand jury subpoenas.

Uses electronic databases to perform litigation support tasks, including reviewing, organizing, indexing, tagging, and summarizing documents, files, and other materials. Conducts database searches for documents and information.

In addition to objective document review, performs document review of a subjective nature including coding materials for case-specific legal issue, themes, and areas for further investigation. Law Clerks will work more closely with Trial Attorneys to gain subject-matter knowledge of the industry under investigation.

Assists attorneys in preparing for, and conducting, interviews with prospective fact witnesses, investigative sources, and expert witnesses.

These positions are fully remote, but with a requirement to come into the office as needed (subject to change).

Required Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study or, an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted.

Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.

Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.

Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.

Role also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools (Relativity) and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.

Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.

Strongly Preferred:

Document Review experience in Relativity. Familiarity with federal criminal investigations and trials is desirable.
