ManTech is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Lead DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for the security integration within development and deployment processes across the program of multiple applications in a hybrid cloud environment. This position is located onsite in Washington D.C.Responsibilities:
Lead DevSecOps engineering for the program and lead a team of other engineers to support the program consisting of multiple applications using various technologies deployed in a hybrid cloud environment.
Develop & maintain sound version control best practices-based CM systems (GIT), including branching and merging strategies.
Responsible for overall CI/CD pipelines and management to effectively support development, operations and deployment and release management.
Continually monitor and optimize the CI/CD pipelines and fine-tune performance to meet evolving requirements from customers and business stakeholders.
Responsible for developing, upgrading and/or maintaining optimal CI/CD tooling to support reliability, performance, and quality for program.
Responsible for infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives for the program; develop and/or refine IaC templates to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.
Identify performance trends, patterns, and optimization opportunities in non-production and production data for proactive problem identification and resource allocation. Provide stakeholders with real-time insights into system health and performance.
Coordinate and automate deployments across various environments ensuring smooth transitions from development to staging to production. Manage release cycles, using change management methods to ensure proper versioning and documentation of releases for clarity and traceability.
Install and manage open-source monitoring tools. Configure management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt).
Responsible for architecture for continuous integration and deployment, and continuous monitoring.
Maintain / upgrade/ patch tracking and documentation software (Confluence / Jira).
Ensure DevSecOps processes and SOPs for Agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and DevSecOps methods are documented and maintained.
Work with program leadership to implement continuous improvements to achieve customers’ requirements and goals.
Work with cybersecurity team for integration and compliance with program security standards
Coordinate and communicate with government staff at all levels – staff through executive levels – to provide weekly status, updates, issues, and risks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, in an IT-related discipline is preferred.
Ten or more (10+) years of position specific relevant experience. Must have five or more (5+) years as a Lead of DevSecOps Engineers.
Proficient with DevSecOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies.
Possess an AWS DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer certification.
Must have hands on experience with using either AWS IaC (using tools such as CloudFormation, Kubernetes or Docker, Terraform) or Azure IaC (using tools such as ARM templates or Bicep, Azure Resource Manager, Azure powershell, Azure CLI) constructs.
Must have hands on experience using JSON, J2EE, jQuery, Jscript, Maven, PHP or similar programming and scripting technologies.
Must have hands on experience with containers e.g. Docket, Kubernetes.
Experience with Oracle database as a service and MS SQL databases.
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments
Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment.
Experience acquiring in-depth understanding of large complex software systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk, and understand varied customer deployments.
