Libra's mission is to create a simple global financial infrastructure that empowers billions of people around the world. It's powered by blockchain technology and the plan is to launch it in 2020.Calibra is a newly formed Facebook subsidiary whose goal is to provide financial services that will enable people to access and participate in the Libra network. Our first product will be a digital wallet for Libra, a new global currency powered by blockchain technology, and it will be available in 2020 in Messenger, WhatsApp, and as a standalone app. Our vision is to reinvent money and transform the global economy so people everywhere can live better lives. Calibra will let you send Libra to almost anyone with a smartphone, as easily and instantly as you might send a text message or photo, and at low to no cost. And, in time, we plan to offer additional services for people and businesses, such as paying bills with the push of a button, buying a cup of coffee with the scan of a code, or riding your local public transit without needing to carry cash or a metro pass.We’re still early in the process of developing Calibra, and are looking for talented, passionate, mission-driven people to join our team so we can build a future together that empowers billions of people around the world. Facebook’s Legal Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking a Legal Project Manager to serve our growing Legal team with a focus on Compliance, Legal and Regulatory for Calibra. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, communication skills, and an ability to see the big picture and incorporates problem solving, critical thinking and tactical execution into their daily work.Required Skills:
Manage one or more projects that span across various businesses, and which can be part of larger globally run programs
Lead multiple work streams and/or project teams to execute against project plan
Demonstrate strong capabilities to engage directly with Legal leadership on strategy and be able to pivot to granular detail within working team
Promote, manage and deliver the continuous improvement of activities and project delivery
Display effective organization skills and manage multiple and competing priorities
Facilitate requirements gathering and drive creation of integrated project plans and timelines
Development and maintenance of key project artifacts, ensuring that project management life cycle has been applied to projects and documents are drafted, reviewed and approved
Propose solutions to manage client expectations and manage scope throughout the delivery of the project
Drive standardization of delivery and activities to promote efficiency
Demonstrate sharp attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverable within the allotted timeframe
Integrate and synthesize information from multiple teams, within the legal and policy domain knowledge as it relates to our apps and products, in order to analyze complex issues, mitigate risks and solve problems
Travel as needed (up to 10% depending on location and assigned projects) and occasionally internationally
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Legal, Technology or a related field
6+ years of program/project management experience
Experience leading departmental and enterprise-wide projects and facilitating meetings with stakeholders
Experience creating a logical and structured approach to planning, problem solving, and decision-making
Experience collaborating with partners across multiple disciplines and functions, including Legal and Product teams
Experience capturing project issues (technical and business) and guiding the team to resolve them
Presentation experience
Project Management training or studies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in project management roles within the technology or professional services industries
Experience working on Legal, Compliance, Regulatory projects
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint) and Google Drive skills
Project Management (PMP) certification
