THE POSITION

We are looking for a friendly, motivated individual to help deliver outstanding customer care in the fast-paced environment of Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). If you are interested in food and wine pairing and assisting customers, this would be an opportunity to share and expand your knowledge!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Liquor Store Clerk 2 Itinerant, travel will be required as needed for your lead shift work in PLCB liquor stores. Responsibilities include overseeing the work of lower-level clerks focusing on one aspect of a shift and participating in the performance of routine duties is required. These include, engaging in customer service, ringing sales on a cash register, unloading shipments, stocking shelves, building displays, and cleaning the store. This position provides on-the-job training to lower-level store employees regarding store procedures and policies, assigning and reviewing their work, and supporting our inclusive, team environment.Other duties include completing accounting and inventory reports, overseeing cash management issues, and resolving customer service and product-related issues. Routine store duties are performed and directed independently, while a manager or an assistant manager provides guidance for new or unusual circumstances. Work is reviewed through conferences and reports for adherence to policy and procedures to help each store and every employee learn, grow, and excel in overall performance. Full-time employment, 75 hours biweekly

Work hours vary between 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday

This is a Liquor Store Clerk 2 Itinerant (Traveling Sales Lead) position; travel will be required as needed.

Salary: The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (commonwealth titles); or

Six months of retail sales work.Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:

You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
