This position works in and around petroleum products and crude oil facilities executing various construction and maintenance activities. Travel, call-outs, and overtime will be required on an as-needed basis. Marathon Pipe Line LLC (MPL) operates more than 5000 miles of underground pipeline in 15 states.Responsibilities: The successful candidate's primary responsibility will consist of pipeline welding.Additional duties include:

Mechanical pipeline maintenance activities including bolting, pipefitting and hydrostatic testing

Assist in spotting and exposing lines and other facilities during excavation

Assure accordance with all regulations in support of DOT, Environmental, Safety and Regulatory compliance

Remove pipeline coating by sandblasting and use of hand tools

Apply pipeline coating

Perform general maintenance on a. variety of equipment

Provide support for damage prevention and right of way relations

Perform emergency break and leak activities

Provide field support to various other MPL processes and departments

Qualifications:A high school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record and must be able to obtain a CDL within 12 months. Proficiency in basic computer skills is required.
