We have an exciting opportunity for a Multicultural Leadership Project Manager with our industry-leading client in Washington, DC.

The Project Manager, Multicultural Leadership serves as a key support to the Hispanic/Latino Multicultural Leadership team. In this capacity, the incumbent will assist in the planning, development, and evaluation of the department's activities that support its three strategic pillars (Consumer Experience, Nationwide Engagement, and Multicultural Expertise). Specific tasks include:
• Lead audience team status meetings, manage projects, organize the work (Excel docs) and keep an active log of ongoing projects, while manage shared drive folders with current documents
• Responsible for coordinating H/L Team reports: weekly, monthly, quarterly
• Basic writing capacity to summarize events, outcomes from projects for reports
• Assist with planning, managing and evaluating events, planning events/activations, managing data capture, coordinating with state staff, developing "run of show", and collecting information for after action reports
• Regularly collaborates with Agencies, AARP departments, relevant influencers, organizations and Partners to plan, develop, and yearly nationwide H/L plan • Serves as a liaison to key external partners, under the direction of core staff
• Support to the wider MCL team on specific projects, as needed
This position requires a significant amount of team consultation and collaboration. Required skills:
• Bilingual preferred (English & Spanish)
• PMP (a plus, but not a requirement)
• Experience with Outlook Scheduling Assistant, TEAMS, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Excel and Power Point is preferred.
• Project Management experience
• Must manage multiple tasks; multitasker
• Excellent analytical skills and communication skills required
• Must think critically and strategically
• Must demonstrate exercise sound judgment in identifying and executing strategies that support Multicultural audiences
• Some knowledge of multicultural and other identified audiences (AAPI, AA/B, H/L markets, Native American/American Indian and LGBT)
• 3-5 years of experience
All events and program activations will be virtual pending AARP re-opening guidelines, due to pandemic. Some travel required, post pandemic period (2020-2021)
Bilingual candidate (Eng/Spanish) preferred and multitasker is a must. A PMP would be preferred, but not required
