Description We are seeking a Paralegal to join our law firm client which is based in Washington DC. This is a REMOTE role and the Paralegal will be working on west coast hours.Responsibilities: Manage and maintain appellate case files, ensuring all documents are organized and accessible Prepare, draft, and edit legal documents, briefs, and pleadings for federal appellate courts Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and assist in legal analysis Oversee the preparation and timely filing of documents in federal appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court Stay updated on local rules, electronic filing requirements, and submission deadlines for federal courts Conduct in-depth legal research, including case law, statutes, and regulations Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action Process customer credit applications accurately and efficientlyRequirements Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal Proficiency in using Blue Book and Bluebooking Capable of preparing and reviewing briefs Must have experience with Cite Check and Shepardizing Familiarity with Civil Litigation and Civil Rights Litigation Experience in Commercial Litigation and Complex Litigation Ability to handle Complex Business Litigation and draft complaints Knowledge of Appellate Practice and Asbestos Litigation Proficiency in using Case Management Software Experience in Civil Litigation and Constitutional Law Familiarity with Court Filings and Court Proceedings Experience in Defense Litigation and Discovery Ability to draft legal documents and handle document production Familiarity with e-Discovery, e-File, and e-Filing systems Ability to prepare exhibit lists and handle exhibits Knowledge of Federal Court procedures, Federal Law, Federal Rules, and Federal Statutes Ability to identify and address legal issues through research Familiarity with the litigation process, from document preparation to trial Proficiency in using Westlaw for legal research Familiarity with Securities Litigation and Shepardizing Experience in preparing for trial, including creating trial exhibits and trial notebooks Knowledge of the United States Supreme Court procedures and regulations Must be comfortable attending trials and assisting in trial preparation.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
