As a Phlebotomist supporting a research program in the Washington, DC area, you’ll travel to local sites to collect and prepare specimens while working with team members and research volunteers. Travel is limited to the DC area.Support requests may come with short notice, so flexibility is important. Please coordinate your availability with the project team, including any occasional dates when you’re unavailable.You’ll collect blood and, as needed, nonblood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs. You’ll also perform screening tests, process and centrifuge samples for laboratory testing, prepare specimens for reference lab shipment, and maintain supplies and equipment while traveling.
