Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Security Architect V based in Washington, DC. This role involves integrating security architecture engineering into the information technology lifecycle. The Security Architect V will play a crucial role in ensuring our software/hardware components and technical infrastructure are secure and up-to-date. Responsibilities: Implement and integrate security concepts, controls, and mechanisms into the design and architecture phases to ensure a secure product. Architect, engineer, and maintain systems to meet specific needs, including building software/hardware components and supporting technical infrastructure. Conduct technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development, and integration. Validate and verify system security measures to ensure they meet company standards and best practices. Specialize in various cyber engineering aspects, including Cloud Security, Identity Access Management, Platform Security, Network Security, and Operational Technology Security. Influence the development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results. Recommend and develop new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of the function's strategy and operations. Resolve complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation. Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients on matters of significant importance to the organization/project. Utilize in-depth understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts, and their application across a range of programs. Requirements Proven experience in the field of Security Architecture Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to provide effective training and support to team members Familiarity with operations and planning within a security context Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge of policy creation, implementation, and compliance Research skills, particularly in the field of security practices and technologies Experience with 'About Time' software and Workstation Support Understanding of auditing processes and protocols Demonstrated leadership skills, with a focus on team collaboration and integration Expertise in security implementation, including network design and cloud technologies Engineering background, particularly in the field of security Familiarity with industry best practices and compliance functions Experience with verification processes and configuration management Ability to answer complex security questions and provide solutions Willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of security architecture.
