In-home child care program seeking a full-time child care aide. Please note that this is a strictly smoke-free and alcohol-free environment.
The successful applicant must:
Be over 18 years of age and able to read, write, and speak English.
Enjoy working with and caring for children of all ages and ethnicities
Pass required criminal background check and medical evaluation
Complete any required basic state-mandated child care training
Hold a valid and current CPR/First Aid certification or obtain one within a month of employment
Be comfortable around dogs and cats
Maintain a clean and tidy appearance, dress appropriately for childcare work, and be comfortable with being on the floor at the children's level
Typical job duties include:
- Keep the indoor and outdoor childcare area clean and sanitary
- Change children's diapers
- Prepare meals and bottles
- Help children during meal times
- Clean up after meals and activities
- Daily washing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc
- Supervise and monitor children and maintain their safety
- Any other duties as assigned by the program director
