Structural Engineer (Rockville, MD)
MGV Consulting Structural Engineers, Inc. It is a structural engineering consulting firm that provides a range of services for commercial and residential projects. Our staff has experience in all aspects of engineering design, preparation of construction documents, project management, and coordination as well as construction supervision.
We are looking to expand our reach and share our resources with independent Structural Engineers that can bring their own resources and take our company to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Perform structural design calculations using design software programs such as RAM Elements, spSlab, Tedds, etc.
Perform hand calculations
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to draft structural drawings and model buildings
Respond to RFIs
Respond to Permit Review Comments
Check Shop Drawings
Go to job sites
Write Inspection Reports
Perform other office duties
Requirements:
-Minimum 3 years of experience.
-PE preferred
-Experience in providing structural design and documentation
-Construction Management Administration skills
-Efficient in CAD, Revit and Engineer software are a plus!
