Bread Furst is a James Beard Award winning bakery by Mark Furstenberg located in the Van Ness neighborhood of Washington, D.C. We are seeking a shift lead or assistant manager to facilitate the closing shifts and manage our specialty retail space.
Our team leads need to possess strong leadership skills, hold high standards, and be warm and genuine with the customers and our staff. We feel that this is a great job for someone working in the restaurant industry who is tired of working late nights. Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate a smooth and efficient closing shift of the bakery
Utilize strong organizational skills to assist with retail merchandising
Accomplishing all closing tasks to ensure the shop is ready to be opened the following day
Use good judgement to manage challenges related to both customers and staff
Create a welcoming environment for both customers & staff
Minimum Requirements:
12:30-8:30pm Shifts
Some Weekend Availability
Some Food Service Experience
Some Barista or Coffee Experience Preferred
