Hawk & Griffin Public House is seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor/Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our establishment. We provide a traditional British pub environment for our patrons with a casual friendly atmosphere centered around the idea of a community gathering space. Come join a close-knit staff who love the energy of English football (soccer) crowds, cask ales, darts and all things British. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. As a Floor Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an outstanding dining experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff to ensure efficient service delivery.

Manage the floor operations during service, ensuring smooth communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Conduct interviews and train new staff members on food safety protocols and service standards.

Oversee banquet operations, ensuring all events are executed flawlessly.

Maintain high standards of food management, including monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in food production areas.

Foster a positive work environment by leading by example and motivating team members to deliver excellent customer service.

Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams effectively.

Proficient in food safety practices and regulations.

Background in food service management, with knowledge of fine dining standards.

Experience in banquet management is highly desirable.

Excellent interviewing skills to identify suitable candidates for the team.

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.

Knowledge of food production processes is a plus.
