Job Summary:
The Catering & Events Coordinator oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of catering services for a variety of events, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for clients and guests. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong customer service orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet with clients to understand event objectives, preferences, and requirements.
Develop customized event proposals, including menus, décor, setup, and timeline.
Coordinate all logistical aspects, including venue arrangements, equipment rentals, staffing needs, and transportation.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process.
Menu Development and Customization
Collaborate with the culinary team to design and refine menus tailored to the specific event and client preferences.
Recommend options based on seasonal ingredients, dietary restrictions, and thematic elements.
Ensure all menu items are prepared to quality standards and delivered on time.
Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all details align with client expectations.
Manage on-site catering staff, including servers, chefs, bartenders, and support staff.
Monitor event progress, handle any on-site issues, and ensure high service standards are maintained.
Ensure clear and consistent communication with clients, addressing all questions and requests.
Foster long-term client relationships through follow-up, feedback, and personalized service.
Handle client feedback and resolve any post-event issues promptly.
Maintain organized records of all events, including contracts, invoices, menus, and post-event evaluations.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years in event planning, catering, or hospitality.
Education: Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage several events simultaneously.
Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of food safety and handling standards.
Working Conditions:
50% Remote- Flexible schedule with availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage physical demands of event setup and breakdown.
