Sous Chef - La Chaumiere

La Chaumiere is dedicated to the art of traditional French fine dining with impeccable service in the heart of Georgetown. The business has remained strong by remaining true to classic French cuisine that evolves with the times.

We are looking for a professional Sous Chef to assist our Executive Chef in leading our kitchen staff to create delicious dining experiences for our customers.

The successful candidate will have previous experience with fine dining cuisine, scratch kitchen knowledge with a French Cuisine background being a plus.

Responsibilities include managing the food service staff, managing food costs, assisting in prep and on the line, and managing guest service.

Must have experience in the following areas:

Food Preparation

Kitchen leadership

Food Safety

Food Preparation

Quality Control

Restaurant Management

Customer Service

Experience in these areas would be an advantage but not a requirement. We are willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will possess great energy and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Our work environment includes:

Sundays off

We are open for dinner Mon thru Sat and serve lunch Wed thru Fri

Health Insurance and garage parking

Experience: Food Production: 1 year (Preferred) Restaurant Management: 1 year (Preferred) Kitchen Management: 1 year (Preferred)

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred). Culinary Degree or relevant experience desired but not required.

License Certification: Valid Driver's License (Required). Serv Safe certification
