IMMEDIATE HIRING: Prior Authorization Specialist – Orthopedic, Spine & Pain Management (Full-Time + Benefits)
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Prior Authorization Specialist to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic, spine, or interventional pain management and be comfortable navigating insurance guidelines to ensure timely authorization of services.
Position Overview:
As a Prior Authorization Specialist, you will play a key role in our revenue cycle process by coordinating insurance approvals for office visits, imaging studies, and interventional procedures. Your efforts will help ensure that our patients receive the care they need without delay.
Key Responsibilities:
Submit and track prior authorization requests for procedures, imaging, and medications
Communicate effectively with insurance carriers to secure approvals
Collaborate with clinical staff to gather required documentation
Follow up on pending authorizations and resolve any issues or denials
Maintain accurate and organized records of all authorization activity
Stay current with payer-specific guidelines and medical necessity criteria
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in prior authorizations, preferably in orthopedic, spine, or pain management settings
Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet time-sensitive deadlines
Proficient in EMR systems, (eClinicalworks is a big )
