Medical Assistant needed in surgical/ophthalmology subspecialty practice. Excellent collegial work environment. Responsibilities include taking patient histories, using electronic medical record, performing specialized tests, and directly assisting the physicians. Occasional Front desk duties such as answering phones, scheduling clinical and surgical appointments, checking-in/out patients also required. (No Phlebotomy skills needed)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must. Excellent opportunity for University/Graduate student needing experience in health care setting or Pre-Medical/Dental/Nursing/PA student. Prior experience as medical assistant/receptionist a plus, but willing to train someone on a healthcare career track. (Prefer associates/college/university experience if no prior medical experience)
Computer Skills essential (MS Word/Excel and data entry)
