Seeking experienced medical biller for busy practice. We are looking for a Full Time
This position coordinates and facilitates all billing activities by following patient accounts through the billing process payors to ensure timely and accurate billing.
Duties Include:
Submitting electronic claims to primary and secondary insurance
Filing appeals with insurance
Calling insurance companies to discuss status of claims/appeals
Following up on claims, denials, and rejections within standard billing cycle time frame
Posting patient and insurance payments
Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits
Completing end of day collection report
Sending patient statements (monthly)
Collecting on past due accounts
Monthly A/R Reports
Maintaining collections accounts
Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided
Other daily office work as deemed appropriate
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum of 1 year billing experience
Experience using EHR systems; Epic experience a plus
Maintains current knowledge of regulatory billing requirements.
Knowledge of CPT codes, modifiers, and ICD-10.
