Special Needs Care Attendant
Responsibilities:
Seeking a care attendant for an adult Autistic male with epilepsy. Duties include helping with daily support activities including bathing, preparing meals, clothing, and community-based support including recreation, therapies, provide constant supervision to ensure the safety of the individual.
Engage in age-appropriate activities that promote social and educational development. Assist and encourage participation in recreational activities, and facilitate social interactions with peers, adapting activities to individual abilities and interests.
Experience:
- Adult with demonstrated experience working with autistic adults.
- Able to pass a background and central registry check.
- Demonstrated experience performing all the tasks listed above.
- Able to work consistently on a timely schedule.
- Fluency in speaking English, reading, and writing.
Requirements: Driver's License, Insurance, Liability Release in case of Accident or Injury
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25-30 per week
Schedule: Monday to Saturday
Work Location: Fairfax County
