Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Asset Accountant in the Real Estate/ construction industry. The role is based in Boca Raton, Florida. This role involves performing essential accounting tasks within the organization, such as managing fixed assets, preparing financial statements, and reconciling accounts.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the company's fixed assets and ensure accurate records Prepare and maintain balance sheets, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date Work with various accounting software systems to streamline and automate processes Manage prepayments and depreciations to align with the company's financial policies Prepare journal entries and perform regular reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for Analyze financial statements and report on variances to help inform business decisions Utilize knowledge of accrual accounting to manage and maintain the company's financial records Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards Participate in budget processes to assist in financial planning and forecasting Employ understanding of capitalization to accurately record the company's assets.Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Ability to perform various Accounting Functions Knowledge of Accrual Accounting Experience in Auditing Familiarity with Budget Processes Understanding of Capitalization in the context of accounting and finance Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
