Position Summary: The Department of Exercise Science & Health Promotion (ESHP) in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL invites applications for an instructor.This instructor is a 12-month position funded by the Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE). This instructor will teach 3 to 4 fully online courses per semester and will have other instruction- and/or service-related responsibilities. The instructor will be tasked with eDesigning courses and assisting other faculty with eDesigning courses through the COCE. Further, the instructor will be asked to re-design courses with the COCE, achieve quality matters recognition for online courses, and will be asked to serve on committees at various levels of the university. This instructor will also be tasked with completing FAU’s 8-week self-paced online Teaching Online: Pedagogy and Practice (TOPP) within their first semester.This Instructor Will Be Responsible for the Following:
Plan and teach assigned courses.
Evaluate the academic progress of students.
Submit course grades and perform other administrative duties as required.
Participate in curriculum and/or program development, as assigned.
Serve on appropriate department, college, and university committees.
