Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to be part of a global company based in Boca Raton, Florida. The successful candidate will have a pivotal role in our organization, with responsibilities ranging from maintaining the general ledger to supporting audit activities and managing intercompany transactions. This role necessitates a thorough understanding of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently.Responsibilities: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date Provide support during internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and answering queries Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring all accounts are reconciled accurately Assist in the month-end close process, preparing journal entries and bank reconciliations Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are processed promptly Work closely with the accounting team to implement and improve accounting processes and procedures Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline accounting operations Assist with lease accounting, ensuring all lease agreements are properly accounted for Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, masters is a plus. Proven experience in an accounting role. Proficient in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations and manage General Ledger. Proficient in creating Journal Entries and conducting Month End Close. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information. Professional certification such as CPA is a plus. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Experience in the engineering industry is preferred.
