Uptown 66 is seeking a high-level Executive Sous Chef to join our leadership team. This is a morning/daytime leadership position ideal for a disciplined, hands-on chef who excels at prep execution, systems, and team development in a fast-paced, quality-driven kitchen.
Schedule
Primarily mornings / daytime shifts
Full-time position
Weekends required
Responsibilities
Execute and uphold menu standards, recipes, and plating
Lead BOH operations alongside the Executive Chef
Oversee daily prep, production, and kitchen systems
Train, mentor, and hold kitchen staff accountable
Maintain consistency, quality, and sanitation standards
Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
5+ years of professional kitchen experience
2+ years in a Sous Chef or Executive Sous role
Strong leadership and communication skills
High-volume kitchen experience
Latin / Mexican / contemporary cuisine experience a plus
Strong organizational and cost-control skills
Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
