Account and Benefits Support Specialist

Bilingual- English & Spanish REQUIRED. We are looking for an experienced insurance customer service representative to connect with our clients. Someone who is self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. In this role, you will be responsible for answering customer inquiries, dealing with the day-to-day activities of our client requests, and providing potential customers with detailed information about our products.

To ensure success as an insurance customer service representative, you should have a friendly and professional demeanor, and good communication skills.

Insurance Customer Service Representative Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Learning and understanding company insurance products.

Answering calls and responding to customer inquiries with professional etiquette.

First point of contact for employees with questions on benefits

Accessing customer accounts and policy schedules.

Enroll/terminate benefit coverage for new hires/terminations

Coordinate with COBRA administrator to ensure appropriate continuation coverage and billing

Work with carriers to ensure all information is complete and accurate (address missing information, enrollment/term information, etc.)

Providing customers with detailed information about policies and products.

Forward customers to sales agents when a policy needs to be initiated or upgraded.

Problem-Solving Capabilities

Managing and helping maintain our internal database.

Help maintain Maxwell and Employee Navigator

Insurance Customer Service Representative Requirements:

Previous experience working as a customer service representative.

In-depth knowledge of insurance products and policy schedules.

Friendly and professional demeanor.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of database software.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

High-level typing skills.

Ability to explain detailed policy concepts in a simple way.

Education: High school or equivalent

Experience: Customer service: 2 years, or Insurance: 1 year (Preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

ยท Associate degree in related field, but experience and/or other training/licenses may be substituted for the education if applicable

3 years of prior customer service experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Ability to commute/relocate: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309
