Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified and licensed plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The plumber will ensure that all plumbing work is carried out in accordance with local and national plumbing codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment.
2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues using appropriate tools and techniques. Identify and fix leaks, blockages, and other plumbing problems.
3. Compliance: Ensure all plumbing work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes and regulations.
4. Blueprints and Schematics: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan plumbing installations and repairs.
5. Inspection: Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues, ensure compliance with codes, and recommend upgrades or repairs.
6. Customer Service: Provide professional customer service, advise clients on plumbing maintenance and repair needs, and explain issues and solutions clearly.
7. Safety Practices: Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate safety equipment to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of plumbing work, including inspections, installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
9. Collaboration: Work with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients to ensure plumbing projects are completed on time and to specification.
Qualifications:
1. Certification and Licensing: Must have a valid plumber’s license and relevant certifications.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.
3. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or technical school.
4. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and local/national plumbing codes and regulations.
Skills:
1. Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, soldering tools, and plumbing diagnostic tools.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment:
1. Work in various environments, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial sites.
2. Exposure to hazardous materials and conditions, requiring adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
