Job Overview:
Our family-owned, Fort Myers based, company is seeking a skilled, HANDS-ON Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our properties, most of which have been built from the ground up by the father and founder of our company. This is a vital role in maintaining a safe environment for our team members, tenants, and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine facilities maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, lighting, electrical, safety, HVAC, building interior, building exterior, and plumbing.for use of per
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and correct the potential hazards
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, structural, electrical, and plumbing problems
- Coordinate and assist co-workers and/or contractors for specialized repairs or installations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completed tasks, materials used, and costs incurred
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Personal work vehicle for travel to jobsites (Mileage reimbursement)
- High school diploma or equivalent required, trade certificate or college degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' on-hand experience in the construction or maintenance field
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active in all types of working environmental conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb up and down on a ladder repeatedly
- Ability to maneuver in tight spaces
- Willing to travel throughout Lee, Charlotte, and Desoto counties. No overnight stays.
Skills and Background:
- General knowledge of:
HVAC: Installing, repairing, maintaining equipment and systems related to heating, cooling, and ventilation.
Masonry: Understanding the basics related to materials and applications of stonework, drywall, and stucco.
Landscaping: Skilled in the maintenance or removal of trees, basic knowledge of irrigation and grounds maintenance.
Plumbing: Knowledge of commercial plumbing to repair or install piping, water heaters, plumbing fixtures, and clear drains.
Electrical: Knowledge of the basic electrical concepts such as current, voltage, and resistance. Possess a skill set and ability to install or repair wiring, cables, conduits, and electrical fixtures.

- Experience with facilities maintenance in a commercial setting
- Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
