Data security Engineer

Description Data Security and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) AnalystWe are seeking a highly motivated Data Security and DLP Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in protecting our organization's confidential data. Responsible for implementing and maintaining our DLP strategy, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and collaborating with various departments to identify and mitigate data security risks.Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage DLP solutions to prevent unauthorized data exfiltration

Configure DLP rules and policies based on data classification and regulatory requirements

Monitor DLP alerts, investigate incidents, and take appropriate action to remediate threats

Analyze data security trends and identify areas for improvement in our security posture

Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure seamless integration of DLP with other security controls

Stay up-to-date on the latest data security threats and trends

Develop and deliver security awareness training programs on data security best practices

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum 2+ years of experience in data security or a related field

Strong understanding of data loss prevention (DLP) concepts and technologies

Experience working with DLP tools such as McAfee Data Loss Prevention, Symantec DLP, Forcepoint DLP, Microsoft Cloud DLP (Azure Information Protection) (familiarity with one or more is a plus)

Working knowledge of network security concepts (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus Points:

Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems

Experience with data classification schemes (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA)

Certifications in data security (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CIPP)

Tools & Technologies:

DLP software (McAfee DLP, Symantec DLP, Forcepoint DLP, Microsoft Cloud DLP (Azure Information Protection))

Security information and event management (SIEM) systems (Splunk, Arcsight, RSA)

Network security tools (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems)
