Hello! Our large corporate client is in need of an interim director of accounting. Oversees the day to day activities for program accounting functions, which includes collaborating with the Director of Accounting and the program accounting staff on month-end closing, reconciliations, cash flow projections, and financial statement preparation.

Oversees all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems related to programs ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

Manages the development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.

Establishes major economic objectives and policies for program accounting, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient and furnishes external reports as necessary; prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business and 10 years or more of experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Cost accounting experience a plus.

Ability and experience at leading others and influencing their superiors on the appropriate paths for the organization.

Excellent communication skills for all levels within the organization.

High level of technical skills and the ability to excess the investing in technology to benefit the accounting function and the business.

Knowledge of risk management able to understand the key risk to the organization.
