Family is seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced Companion Caregiver for a wonderful woman in assisted living who is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. This is a privately hired position by the family (not through the facility) and a long-term opportunity for someone who sincerely enjoys caring for others and providing meaningful companionship.
Monday through Saturday, 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Flexibility available if every Saturday is not possible
About her:
She is physically strong and very sharp when it comes to her past, though her short-term memory is limited. She enjoys being active and engaged, including:
Going out for lunch
Grocery shopping
Taking drives to the beach
Attending church and practicing her faith
Enjoying conversation and companionship
She loves someone happy and full of energy
The right person for this role will be:
Warm, patient, and compassionate
Tidy, articulate, and attentive
Flexible and highly reliable
Comfortable planning outings and engaging activities
A safe driver with a clean driving record
Requirements:
Clean background check
Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record
Experience working with seniors or individuals with memory challenges preferred
