Plans, organizes, and directs comprehensive recreation programs and special events at resort by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.As a Resort Experience Manager, you will, Direct supervision of the entire Activities/ Events program.Create, implement, and direct activity and special event programs using "themed" concepts.Plan parties for owners, guests, and employee.Formulate an environment, which will increase employee morale, motivation, and promote team spirit.Prepare departmental budget.Direct communication with Westgate vendors such as Resort Recreation and Tourism Management (RR & TM), Orlando Dive, Hair Ropes etc In order to facilitate products, programs, and services for Activities/EventsInterview applicants, verify references, and hire personnelInputs and reviews Kronos payroll system, and prepares RR & TM timecardsSet policy and procedures for departmentAttend weekly staff meetings with department heads, supervisors & managersPerform weekly staff meetings with department and prepare reportsResponsible for inputting and updating the resort information television channelPrepare supervisory reports for accidents and remain updated on emergency/safety proceduresPrepare weekly schedules, and update attendance recordsResponsible for staffingActivities Bicycle & Boat Repairer: instructions in correct safety procedures, maintain records for bike and paddleboat repair, ability to fill out forms correctlyCoordinate training for CPR and First Aid TrainingResponsible for accurate inventory and purchasing of sports and recreation related equipmentResponsible for purchasing items needed to maintain Kids ClubMaintain weekly and monthly records of all inventories purchased and distributed through the Activities/Events departmentMaintain records of activity inventory and prepare them in accordance with CFI and Westgate accounting departmentsRemain updated on all recreation and sports equipment, as well as lakes, ponds, game room and outdoor recreation facilities to meet appropriate safety standardsResponsible for inputting Westgate T. V. channel for resort wide marketing of special events and important resort informationResponsible for canceling or shutting down various equipment and activities/events when weather or other conditions pose a safety hazard to participants.Prepare, design, order, and distribute marketing material for resort, VIP, or employee activities/eventsPerform other tasks as assigned by the General Manager or Director of resort Operations.Requisition supplies for activities and events, or employee programs, Kids Club and Activity CenterServe as speaker/host at resort functions when called uponPurchase and pick up recreation equipment when necessarySupervises and analyzes recreational needs and resourcesInterprets recreation programs and their philosophy to individuals and groups through personal participation and staff assignmentsCooperates with recreation and non-recreation personnel
