High school diploma or equivalent
5-10 years of gate operator service and installation experience
Proficient with installing and diagnosing basic gate operator systems.
Responsibilities
The Gate Operator Technician is responsible for installing and servicing gate operator systems as directed.
Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs various low voltage electrical systems.
Installs gate operators and accessories based on manufacturer requirements and industry standards.
Complies with UL 325
Uses various hand tools to install components including drills, saws, grinders, etc.
Programs systems on site and remotely
Install in-ground loops in both asphalt and concrete.
Responsible for the service and installation of gate operators only.
Maintains company service vehicle by staying current with regular vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.) and notifies Management of any vehicle issues.
Maintains sufficient stock on service vehicles.
Reads manuals and conducts research to become familiar with systems.
Professionally represents Best Fence Inc. when working with customers and vendors.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Most of the daily tasks are performed out of doors and will be subject to elements such as extreme heat, cold, rain, etc.
This is a full-time position, and the general hours of work days are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
This position is for work in an industrial setting.
Company vehicle furnished.
Familiarity with the following brands of gate operators: Lift master, Hy security, Elite gates, Viking, and Ideal vertical operators.
Salary: $35 To $50 Per Hour. Negotiable for the right person.
Position located in Central Florida.
Valid Driver’s license required.
Drug free workplace.
Two-day mandatory safety training provided.
Ability to secure a “Transportation Workers Identification Credential” TWIC Card.
