Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are in the process of recruiting an Bilingual Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our construction team based in Longwood, Florida. The primary role of this position is to oversee the Accounts Payable staff and manage various accounting tasks. Responsibilities: Oversee Accounts Payable staff, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of payments Handle weekly labor payments and bi-weekly payments to suppliers Process monthly credit card transactions and supplier rebates Conduct timely monthly closings, including account reconciliations, job cost analysis, journal entries, and intercompany transactions Assist with preparations for audits, including workers’ compensation and external audits Provide ongoing training and mentoring to the accounting staff, identifying areas for improvement in current processes Manage special projects as required Utilize QuickBooks for accounting functions and processes Utilize Spanish language skills as needed for customer service and communication.Find me on LinkedIn under Molly Helfer Waldman and send your resume directly.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry Proficiency in managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in using QuickBooks for various accounting functions Fluency in Spanish language Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles Proven experience in managing a team in a supervisory role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.Find me on LinkedIn under Molly Helfer Waldman and send your resume directly.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
