Description Robert Half currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Logistics field. This Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position offers an opportunity to become an essential part of a company in the Logistics industry. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Miami, Florida area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Your responsibilities
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Provide support during internal and external audits
Execute full-cycle A/P
Execute additional tasks as needed
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Provide support to internal business partners
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department Requirements - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Strong attention to detail
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
