One of my client companies is seeking a Bilingual ( Spanish and English speaking ) Laundry Plant Manager; base $90-100K. Benefits are offered. Monday - Saturday (weekends when needed)

Summary:

The Industrial Laundry Plant Manager is responsible for the overall operations, coordination, and evaluation of the organization's high-volume laundry facility. This role ensures the efficient, high-quality processing of all linens and textiles. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for effective leadership and management of the diverse production staff. The manager will lead the laundry team, oversee production schedules, and is critically responsible for facilities maintenance and managing laundry equipment to ensure maximum uptime, compliance, and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities: The key functions include but are not limited to the following.

Production and Operations Management

● Oversee the entire high-volume laundry process, from sorting and washing to drying, ironing, and folding, ensuring efficient and timely execution for event readiness.

● Manage production schedules to ensure timely processing and delivery of linens, meeting deadlines for internal event fulfillment and hospitality clients.

● Strategically manage workflow to handle the production swings, ensuring efficient resource allocation for weekly volumes

● Implement and maintain rigorous standards for cleanliness, folding, and quality throughout the production process to preserve textile integrity and uphold xxx’s premium brand standard.

● Identify and execute opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and optimize the overall production flow.

● Assist with managing the department’s budget and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality, and efficiency, reporting performance to senior management.

● Collaborate effectively with other departments, including Logistics, Warehousing, and Fulfillment teams, to ensure smooth inventory transfer and timely deliveries.

Equipment, Facilities, and Safety

● Ensure all laundry machinery and equipment is functioning properly through regular inspection, scheduling preventative maintenance, and coordinating prompt repairs to minimize costly downtime.

● Oversee general facilities maintenance to ensure a safe, organized, efficient, and well-functioning work environment.

● Ensure the facility and all laundry operations comply with local, state, and federal health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

● Monitor and manage inventory levels of all laundry supplies (chemicals, packaging, etc.) and manage procurement to avoid disruptions in production.

Staff Leadership and Development

● Supervise, schedule, train, and develop the laundry staff, requiring fluent communication in Spanish and English to ensure strict adherence to company policies and safety protocols across the team.

● Monitor employee performance, provide effective feedback, and address any team-related issues or conflicts swiftly and consistently.

● Be tasked with addressing and executing special projects as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Qualifications

● Must be professionally fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish (mandatory) to effectively communicate with the production team.

● Experience: Proven experience in a high-volume industrial laundry or similar production management role (5+ years preferred).

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, operations management, production management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

● Strong working knowledge of commercial laundry equipment, chemistry/detergents, and operational processes.

● Strong leadership, management, and team-building skills with a focus on staff development and accountability.

● Demonstrated proficiency in health and safety standards, including relevant regulatory knowledge (e.g., OSHA).

● Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.

● Proven ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and effectively manage a high-volume operation.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

● RFID Knowledge: Experience and knowledge of RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) tracking systems is preferred, as it relates to textile inventory management.
