In the role of Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading the property-based engineering team, ensuring strategies are in place for the effective management of all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel.What you'll do Develop and implement departmental policies, health & safety, procedures, and other training programs.Budget development and ongoing budget management. Ensure that costs and inventory are controlle and productivity and performance levels are attained.Lead the engineering team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment, and work schedules.Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property.Coordinate and monitor contractors and suppliers to ensure that services and goods are delivered in line with the hotel’s policies.Ensure guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service always.Operate in compliance with all local laws and government regulations and best practice activities are planned, delivered, and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.Establish and deliver an effective planned preventative maintenance programmed (PPM).Ensure compliance with the Americans Disabilities Act (ADA)Communicate with General Manager, senior leaders and hotel department heads on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems. Oversee necessary repairs and maintenance throughout the hotelBuild and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.Adhere to all corporate-required purchasing policies and controls, such as - all outside contractor bids, budgets, and schedules. Manage CAPEX projects.Follow prescribed safety procedures for personnel and equipment by the company and OSHA
