We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Truss Builder to join our team. The Truss Builder will be responsible for constructing trusses used for our own buildings. This role requires proficiency in reading cut sheets, precise measurement, and strong craftsmanship skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Truss Assembly: Assemble and construct wooden trusses according to specifications and blueprints.
Measurement and Cutting: Accurately measure and cut materials to ensure precise fit and structural integrity.
Quality Control: Inspect trusses for quality and compliance with safety standards before delivery or installation.
Tool Operation: Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Material Handling: Manage and organize materials required for truss building, ensuring proper storage and handling.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in truss building or a related field is preferred. On-the-job training may be provided for the right candidate.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with construction techniques and materials.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in construction work.
Teamwork: Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety practices and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
