Position Can Sit in Orlando or Lakeland, FLPosition SummaryThis Accounting Systems Analyst position is responsible for supporting the centralized configuration, development, and maintenance of Marriott Vacations Worldwide financial information applications. The Analyst’s primary responsibility is to ensure all configurations and maintenance is performed in a timely manner in order for the information infrastructure to function on schedule. The incumbent is responsible for the centralized maintenance of base tables, combination edits, trees, allocations, oversight of the decentralized maintenance functions, responsibility for batch schedule processes related to transaction processing, as well as responsibility to manage the change process for system fixes and enhancements for transaction processes. The Analyst will be expected to identify opportunities for automation, prepare detailed designs, test, and implement their automations using SQL and other automation tools including Microsoft Power Apps.Expected Contributions
Configures, tests, and maintains general ledger base table maintenance, e.g., ChartFields, Sources, and Templates.
Works with technical resources to draft conceptual and detailed design documentation.
Performs solution delivery planning for unit / user acceptance testing and deployment.
Monitors key performance measures and audits controls of accounting, consolidation, and/or reporting information systems.
Identifies solutions and implements best-practice processes and information systems for enterprise business solutions.
Identifies opportunities for automation and utilizes available tools to implement automated solutions.
Works collaboratively with business users to understand complexities of the business and ensure timely exchange of information, user satisfaction, and process improvements.
Monitors the audit systems controls process including EBS system change management and separation of duties.
Provides support for accounting and reporting information systems.
Develops & maintains strong customer relationships.
Acts as a team member for implementation and upgrade projects for the various financial applications.
Develops an understanding of MVW accounting processes and how they interact with MVW applications.
Assists in special projects as required.
Performs other duties as needed.
Candidate ProfileEducation:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
Proven experience with large scale Enterprise Resource Planning ERP implementations preferably PeopleSoft Financials, including leading systems upgrades and enhancements.
Familiarity in utilizing SQL or similar tool sets in analyzing and documenting data requirements and business rules.
Hospitality and/or Timeshare experience preferred.
Skills and Attributes:

Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (Macros, Xlookups, Pivot Tables, and Advanced functions)
SQL analysis experience

PeopleSoft financial application suite experience preferred.
Business intelligence experience, preferably with Power BI
Possesses business and technical knowledge of all financial interfaces and special programs.
