Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas year-round. Located at Area 15 is the heart of horror – we would love to have you haunting alongside us! With the nature of this experience comes a unique working environment. You will find yourself working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more. The working hours will be unique, typically spanning over late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). JOB SUMMARY: Reviews a wide range of purchase requisitions, investigates, and develops sources of supplies, preparing bid specifications; issues bid requests and reviews quotations. Interprets purchasing procedures to Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU) departments and defined vendors, in assigned categories, which require a high degree of technical knowledge. Liaise with UDX Sourcing Team to optimize purchasing and new sourcing efforts for new business model and future location efficiencies.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitates the competitive quote process for all requisitions according to the company policies. Solicits price bids and proposals from qualified suppliers. Conducts evaluation of all bids and recommends suppliers for award, negotiates final process, establishes contracts, and implements negotiated sourcing deals throughout UHU.

Researches possible sources/suppliers for requested items, provides alternatives or substitutions when applicable, and assists internal requesters with select requirements. Gathers/reviews requests in various formats including technical drawings or schematics; evaluates total cost of ownership in cases where substitutions are beneficial to the organization and monitors savings on sourcing deals in accordance with established performance targets.

Responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet customer order requirements and maintain stock inventory levels within approved guidelines. Evaluates and purchases services, supplies, and equipment based on price, service, quality, and warranty. Responsible for collaborating with business partners to assist with writing specifications and developing appropriate timelines to ensure the supply of material and services is taken into consideration to maximize our guest experience.

Partners with Finance to ensure budget compliance and to identify cost saving opportunities. Maintains and updates supplier database and completes necessary reports. Coordinates with UDX Sourcing Team for optimization efforts of UDX-wide sourcing and purchasing requests.

Assists with resolution of order discrepancies and communicates key information to partners.

Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Supply Chain Management certification is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required.

Intermediate Excel skills such as pivot tables, vlookup, and data analysis.

Strong knowledge of PowerPoint to effectively create presentations and ability to present to leadership.

Strong Communication Skills with the ability to interpret and analyze general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.

EXPERIENCE:

3+ years general commodity buying experience required, experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) procurement is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
