Position Overview: GravyWork, in partnership with Orange County Public Schools' Food & Nutrition Services, seeks motivated and reliable Food Service Workers. This long-term assignment involves 5-hour shifts, 5 days a week, at schools within the Orange County school system.
The school year begins August 12.
Requirements
Follow food safety guidelines.
Wear protective gear.
Adhere to dress code: slip-resistant shoes, black/khaki slacks, Black polo shirt.
Maintain personal hygiene; no false eyelashes, painted/acrylic/gel nails.
Authorized to work in the US.
Pass a federal background check and fingerprinting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide balanced, safe meals per schedules and standards.
Perform food prep, service, and clean-up tasks.
Work in various areas: snack bar, salad bar, cashiering, prep, baking, cooking, and cleaning.
Collaborate with lunchroom staff.
Daily Tasks:
Prepare, serve, and clean up in assigned areas.
Set up trays, carts, condiments, and service lines.
Assemble recipes, wash and cut produce, and mix ingredients.
Cook and bake as needed.
Serve food, monitor quantities, and maintain temperatures.
Handle payments, inventory, and daily receipts.
Clean equipment, sweep, mop, and recycle.
Store leftovers and dismantle equipment after service.
Operate food prep equipment.
