Job Overview:
We seek a skilled Pastry Chef with experience and passion to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing and baking various sweet and savory pastries, cakes, and other desserts. Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, including croissants, French baguettes, kaiser rolls, etc.
- Ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Use specialized equipment such as ovens, mixers, and knives to prepare ingredients and finish baked goods
- Collaborate with other store members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a related culinary role is ideal.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and principles.
- Familiarity with food safety and handling practices.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and ingredients.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to identify the different types of flour used for the products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Great personality is very important for our friendly working environment.
- Must be highly responsible and dependable.
Skills:
- Proficiency in food handling and preparation techniques.
- Must know how to make croissants, French baguettes, and kaiser rolls.
- Mastery of knife skills and the ability to use specialized equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions for the recipes we are using.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Familiarity with European products is a huge plus.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
- Experience in baking and preparing a variety of sweet and savory pastries, cakes, and other desserts.
- Culinary skills and a passion for baking; an individual full of ideas, and suggestions and loves to experiment to try and make new products.
