We are seeking a well-rounded Skilled Trades Technician to support ongoing work throughout the Orlando and Daytona regions. This role is ideal for someone who excels in multiple trades and is comfortable handling a broad mix of carpentry, drywall, painting, solid-surface tasks, and general repair work. This is a full-time 1099 contractor position, with most projects scheduled during overnight or weekend hours.
Responsibilities:
Complete a variety of repair and improvement tasks within retail and facility environments, including finish carpentry, patching and painting, drywall repairs, and fixture/work surface adjustments.
Diagnose issues on-site and resolve them with minimal supervision.
Review drawings, diagrams, and work scopes to execute tasks correctly.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Maintain clear communication with project managers and on-site contacts.
Deliver work that meets quality standards and stays on schedule.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or a related trade.
Proficiency in one or more core trades—carpentry, drywall, painting, cabinetry, solid-surface work—along with the ability to handle general cross-trade tasks.
Capable of working independently and adjusting to varied job scopes.
Must be able to work nights and weekends as required by the project schedule.
Must reside in or commute reliably to the Orlando/Daytona corridor.
Valid Florida driver’s license and dependable transportation.
