A national law firm seeks a Construction Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team in Orlando, FL.This position will assist attorneys and paralegals through theperformance of complex administrative and clerical duties requiring aknowledge of legal terminology and the legal process. Will process newmatters and conflict requests; perform conflict maintenance on existingmatters, as required. Will review and process all incoming or outgoingmail and save it electronically in the document management system. Willensure attorney time is correctly entered by the deadline and performmonth-end billing processes. Will gather client accounting informationand generate accounting reports available through accounting softwareas requested and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices. Will maintainFlorida Bar requirements i.e. CLEs, Board Certification Applications andRenewals, and Court Admissions. Will schedule hearings, depositions,mediations, and meetings in coordination with the case team, witnesses,experts, opposing counsel, court reporters, judicial assistants, and/ormediators.Requirements:Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor'sDegree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.A minimum of five years related experience in a law firm or corporate legaldepartment environment required.Experience with complex calendaring in Outlook.Must have an understanding of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and theFederal Rules of Civil Procedure.
