Full Time Administrative Assistant in Winter Springs; 8:00AM to 4:30PM

Yeah, I know, there's a lot of “Administrative Assistant” jobs where you're just a secretary and receptionist who winds up as a go-fer for the entire office. If that's really what you want, you'll need to skip this ad.

We are a small manufacturing company in Winter Springs looking for a special someone who can recognize and handle their responsibilities without a lot of muss and fuss. No fetching coffee, no driving to pick up lunch for the office, no making copies for others, no cleaning the bathrooms in your spare time.

This is a real job for a person looking for a rewarding opportunity.

So, who is my boss?

The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the President, who is responsible for all day-to-day company operations (Duh, that's kinda why they're President). There is a lot to do, and the Prez needs help getting stuff done. We're looking for real help, this isn't a “fast-paced” pressure cooker business that wants to treat you like “family” then tries to suck the life out of you.

How do I dress?

We totally expect business casual. Jeans, tops with sleeves and sneakers are fine. We're not a retail store and you're not going to be doing heavy lifting or cleaning the floors, you know.

What will I have to do?

Using Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise, you will assist in keeping our operations moving. This involves a bit of everything, like buying parts, receiving them into inventory, managing the inventory and paying for the parts we buy. (Yes, it kinda sounds like you're stuck doing everything, but its only a little bit of everything).

After some training, you'll also assist in entering customer orders into our system. Details are really important here, so if you're more of a “free spirit” and don't usually sweat the small stuff, please don't apply here.

This stuff probably won't keep you busy all day, so figure you'll need to handle additional tasks assigned by the President. On the plus side, the more tasks you take on and handle correctly, the more we're willing to pay. (On the minus side, less nap time)

The person we need (You've got to have these talents and traits):

Someone who can be relied on to work without anyone breathing over their shoulder. We hate to micromanage, so a person who craves attention from their boss all the time won't be here long.

Someone with a calm, professional (or close to it) attitude. We don't need stress, so if your friends are always telling you to calm down or chill out you might want to skip this ad.

And, of course, someone with a strong attention to detail. At our company, we sweat the details so our customers get the right product every time. You've just got to have an eagle eye for detail because its really important to us.

A person with good judgment and discretion who knows when to keep quiet and when to talk. If you just have to take selfies or pictures and update your online accounts constantly, we're going to have a problem. If EVERY SINGLE THING that happens to you gets published on social media, that's just not going to fly here. You have to know when to keep company business private.

The person we'd really like to have (Our wish list for that perfect co-worker):

A person who is friendly and personable that can work with all different types of people. Not looking for a comedian (since we might not like your taste in jokes). However, having a sense of humor of some type would be nice. If your friends have mentioned that you are annoying a lot of the time, please skip this opportunity.

Someone we can rely on to be here on time every (working) day. We don't do weekends. Or windows.

A person experienced with QuickBooks, Microsoft Access and OpenOffice. Yeah, I know, who doesn't work with those programs all the time and just love them, right?

Since we're wishing here, a team player who is flexible (no, not like Yoga) and enjoys challenges and taking on more responsibilities. Hey, this is our wish list, you know.

And let's throw in the kitchen sink here, a person with some knowledge of basic accounting principles. You know, money coming in, money going out. Bills, Invoices, Purchase orders, stuff like that.
