Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Metal Shop Assistant, specializing in signs. While prior experience in metalwork or signage is not required, a willingness to learn the trade and a passion for craftsmanship is essential. The successful candidate will assist in the fabrication and installation of signage, working closely with our skilled team to deliver high-quality products to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the fabrication of metal signage using various tools and equipment.
Support the installation team with the transportation and installation of signage at client sites.
Learn and develop skills in metalworking techniques, including cutting, welding, and finishing.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks in the workplace.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to operate a truck with a 20-foot trailer for transportation of signage (training provided if necessary).
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic understanding of hand and power tools preferred but not required.
Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting and bending.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
