Desktop SpecialistLocation: Pensacola, FLMust have Top Secret Security ClearanceNode is supporting a proprietary customer contract delivering technical support to customer management and providing technical services to enable customer mission accomplishment. In support of the customer’s strategic direction, Node is looking for individuals with technical experience to support customer environment operations.The Desktop Specialist will provide Tier 2 technical support to onsite office and remote users in an enterprise Windows environment. Responsibilities: Troubleshooting a variety of desktop-related issues via tickets assigned within ServiceNow. Providing professional customer-focused support while solving complex technical issues Collaborating with others as well as working independently Providing status reports to Team Leadership Serving as a liaison between Subject Matter Experts (SME) and technical teamsRequirementsRequired Skills Must be able to work shift schedule U.S. Citizenship Must have an active/current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability prior to starting employment Must be able to work a fixed shift schedule with some flexibility for night/weekend work Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work multiple projects in a dynamic environment 4+ years of directly relevant experience 3 – 5 years of experience providing Desktop Management Solutions: SCCM/MDT (Windows OS Image Development), Virtual Desktop Management (VMware/Citrix) Advanced Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Registry, DCHP Scopes, DNS Records, Print Queues, Group Policy, WSUS Patch Management VDI Administration: Master Images, Managing Sessions, User Profiles, App Volumes Ability to research/design desktop management solutions and troubleshoot Issues with COTs Ability to support updates and changes for assigned projects Ability to resolve all Tier 2 escalated requests. Ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic environmentDesired Skills Experience with one or more of the following: Azure AD, AWS Workspaces, Software Packaging, PowerShell Scripting, SailPoint Administration Experience with VMware Horizon Infrastructure (Managing Images, DEM Profiler, App Volumes, SDDC)Required Education: High School Diploma, or Associate’s Degree and 2 years of experience.
