The Commission on Offender Review performs a vital role in Florida’s criminal justice system by preserving the autonomy needed in post-release decisions affecting inmates and ex-offenders. Commissioners preside over weekly meetings at the central office in Tallahassee and various other state locations as required by statute. During these public proceedings, the commissioners make a variety of determinations regarding parole and other releases. BENEFITS:

DESCRIPTION
The incumbent in this position will report to the Director of Administration and provide administrative and customer service to internal and external customers. The incumbent requires little to no supervision from management in accomplishing tasks and seeks opportunities to enhance the organization. This person should be able to complete assignments in a timely manner, consistent with expectations set forth.
EXAMPLES OF WORK
Submits work orders for maintenance to DMS for Central Office through state database TRIRIGA and assist field offices with obtaining outside companies for maintenance issues.
Works with internal and external customers for phone line matters, including, but not limited to:
implementation
moving, stacking or roll over phone lines
adding or deleting features
disconnecting and repairing phone lines
programming phone sets after line has been placed
tracking phone numbers assigned to staff
Responsible for tracking the use, repairs, mileage, and fuel of FCOR state vehicles. Additionally, responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained, by ensuring timely repairs and servicing of cars.
Maintain and assist with assigning agency parking spots.
Responsible for purchasing, issuing, tracking, and auditing Sunpass transponders.
Receive, stamp, sort, and deliver Central Office mail.
Make weekly deliveries to outside agencies.
Track and conduct inventory of Attractive Property annually.
Facilitates central office ID badge and purchasing card distribution.
Maintains the shared copy machines and submits monthly meter readings for copiers and faxes.
Assists employees with the rearranging of offices, which may include hanging, loading, and unloading.
Assists other Administration staff with handling of confidential information.
Serves as the Alternate Safety Coordinator for the Commission.
Maintain yearly safety book for auditing purposes and submit to Director of Administration.
Performs other duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Skilled in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate work assignments.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and efficient manner.
Ability to operate general office equipment.
The incumbent of this position must maintain a valid driver’s license.
