Salary Rate: $64,962.30 annually SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises the Quality Assurance section functions including post audits performed on vendor payments to include MFMP, Works, STMS, Contracts, Grants and FCO. Supervises onboarding training and works with sections to create and conduct training as directed by supervisors. Monitors the Bureau’s Dashboards and payment compliance reports including but not limited to payment accuracy and prompt payment. Supervises staff responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and producing reports on disbursement and accounting processes to include tasks such as: performing periodic review and analysis of operations to ascertain adequacy of internal controls and timely, accurate and adequate services; inspecting, reviewing, and examining activities for operational efficiency, compliance with statutes, administrative codes, procedures, and policies; devising and checking methods used to maintain records; preparing, analyzing, and presenting related monthly or quarterly reports; reviewing programs, services, forms and reports, and conferring with management and users to identify problems and improvements; recommending methods, techniques and procedures to improve operations.

Coordination with Florida Palm liaisons to create PALM trainings and PALM job aids. Will also be responsible for conducting internal PALM trainings.

Monitors workloads, workflows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with employees. Guides and advises subordinates on procedural processes in areas of responsibility. Assists staff with resolution of problems by providing methodologies that are appropriate and which conform to applicable regulations. Participates in the establishment of objectives and measures for accounting area.

Evaluates employees through establishing evaluation criteria and responsibilities, meets with employees regularly to ensure the established criteria are met. Communicates on a regular basis with employees both individually and in staff meetings. Counsel’s employees when necessary. Trains employees in the proper procedures to be used in conjunction with the level of work to be performed. Develop, implement, and routinely monitor position descriptions and related performance standards for all section staff to ensure that they accomplish the goals and objectives of this bureau. Plan and routinely review staff workloads. Motivates staff to improve the quality and quantity of work performed.

Provide reports and data analysis to management on regular basis. Coordinate the updates for the Dashboard internal webpage to ensure information is current and relevant, create/update procedures regularly.

Complete other special duties or projects as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or its equivalent AND five (5) years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.ORA bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, mathematics, or business administration AND three (3) years of experience in accounting, auditing, or computer systems analysis involves accounting auditing data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference will be given to candidates with experience creating and conducting trainings.

Preference will be given to candidates with supervisory experience.
