Salary: $79,778.14 Annually SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position supervises the Contract Management Review unit that conducts reviews of the Department's contracts to evaluate the effectiveness of the Department's management of contracts, report findings, and recommend actions to correct deficiencies. This is a working supervisor position which includes participating in audit activities, coordinating with the professional accountant supervisor for fiscal and financial audit activities and supervising professional accountants involved in the monitoring of agency contracts. Work includes the supervision, motivation, training and evaluation of employees. Work also includes planning workloads, work objectives, and the effective and efficient use of resources to best meet deadlines or goals through the production of quality and useful reports. Experience preferred for this position includes:

A strong understanding of the State of Florida contracting requirements;

Working with staff to develop audit/review programs;

Directing staff to ensure that audit/review program objectives are met;

Ensuring that reports have language that is clear, concise, and accurate;

Leading meeting and speaking to large groups of people;

Performing annual risk assessments and preparing audit/review annual plans; and

Counseling employees in training needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with five (5) years of professional audit, accounting, or contract evaluation experience. Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.

Essential/Entry Level KSA’s

Knowledge of accounting or auditing principles, theory and concepts.

Ability to supervise people.

Knowledge of and ability to use a calculator and a personal computer to include use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Full Performance Level KSA’s

Knowledge of accounting and auditing practices.

Knowledge of internal control concepts.

Ability to determine work priorities, assign work and ensure completion of assignments.

Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.

Ability to prepare workpapers and schedules.

Ability to prepare financial reports.

Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques and make decisions.

Ability to analyze and evaluate accounting systems.

Ability to review audit reports and working papers.

Ability to review, analyze and evaluate financial and operational data.

Ability to coordinate program activities.

Ability to examine and audit financial records.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
